Feeling disappointed in QUEENSTOWN...our little girl had to sit and watch the other children playing at "the Play Space" in the beautiful, modern library today She could read the sign that said "come and play" for children 0-5 however was told, in no uncertain terms, she can't go in because we aren't part of their community! The only place in 10 months of travelling Australia that she has been unwelcome Other than informing us we were unwelcome in the play space, the staff kept to themselves and offered no other information (they did give short answers when the children asked). Very different to the friendly atmosphere of most libraries around our gorgeous country!
Neville is a just a dick
Visited the Queenstown library last Thursday 3 December 2015 and was very excited about having a look around and interacting with library staff, having a mutual interest of being a librarian. I was very disappointed in the lack of customer focus and attention. The staff manning the desk could not have been bothered greeting, responding or interacting with me as a customer who walked in the entrance of their library. They appeared too busy focusing on their Xmas headwear attire and talking with each other to even respond to my good morning. What a disappointing and sad visit to a library.
